Temptress by Colour Collection Review

If you’ve been following me for quite a while now, you know how much I love lipstick and I probably sound like an old record on a loop, but I’ll say it again, it’s because it’s the only type of make up that I can put on my face without needing professional help. Like, just glide it on to match the shape of your lips and you’re done.

I have loved the color red before people thought it was cool, back when people thought it was too loud a color, and although I’m favoring other colors like orange, pink and purple today, because everyone’s favorite color is red now, and you know how much I hate being like everyone else, not that there’s anything wrong with that of course, I just prefer to swim upstream when the rest are swimming downstream, just for the hell of it. In the same way that eyebrows can make you look different when groomed or styled, lipstick can drastically change the way you look too. It can either make you look friendly and welcoming or snobbish in an instant. It’s awesome.

Contrary to what other people believe, Red lipstick is not for everyone. Seriously. Know what shade suits your skin tone and spare us the horror of having to tell you how that shade does not look good on you, please.

I have fair skin, so bright shades of red does not look good on me, but deep, dark reds make me look amazeballs.

Temptress by Colour Collection is a seductive shade of red that can make you look sultry and make you feel sexy in an instant, I know it made me feel sexy when I wore it and gave my lips a plumper pout.

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT IT:

• It’s just the right shade of red that compliments my skin tone.
• It does not look “whorish”. “O” does not like red lipstick because he associates it with whores somehow, but this one, was just the right shade of red for him, it’s seductive but apparently not in a whore kind of way. HAHA!
• It glides on smoothly.
• It leaves a pink tint to lips and doesn’t completely fade out when you eat or drink or smoke.
• It’s not a bright red, but it’s also not so dark.

WHAT I DON’T LIKE ABOUT IT:

• It fades fast when you eat, drink, smoke or talk a lot, but if you’re just going to smile and look pretty, this is awesome.
• Rubs off quite easily, so no kisses with this lippie on.

WILL I BUY IT AGAIN:

• Definitely! There are only a handful of non-whorish red lipsticks out there, and this is one of them, so I will definitely keep this in my list of ‘must-haves’.

I found this lipstick and the brand Colour Collection from Sample Room and I’m glad I did!
